IF i'm being totally honest the first drawings that we produced from our objects werent my faveourites.. we had our tutor Kathryn direct us through various drawing styles throughout the day (ten second ones, styles such as :limp, bendy, fluffy, delicate, strong, thick, wet) so by the end of that day we had got through a shit load of paper. It was fun as well but a few of them were dissapointing, however this was such a welcomed activity after a whole summer of pretty much no drawing..
ANYWAY, then things got interesting and we were being taught by another tutor who is head of CAD print, called Melanie Bowles (she is actually very productive within the textiles industry too so i'll link some work). She started looking at texture and markings with us which was what we wanted because after all we are on a TEXTiles course. We had to produce a serious of small, medium and large squares with markings on from our objects. Here a cheeky few ( ) http://www.melaniebowles.co.uk/m_bowles/Home.html( ) and heres a lookywook at her bookywook DIGITAL TEXTILE DESIGN
