WHAT THEY SAID

"BRICK LANE IS FULL OF CULTURE AND COMMUNITY.. WHEN IM HERE I FEEL A BEAUTIFU SPIRIT AND I MEAN IT WHEN I SAY, I LOVE LIVING HERE. IF I WALK DOWN THIS STREET AND I CAN SAY I KNOW EVERY SHOP AND CURRY HOUSE OWNER... YEAH ITS A GREAT PLACE TO LIVE, BUT AT NIGHT EVERYTHING CHANGES."

whaaaaaaaaat?

"AT NIGHT IT COMES ALIVE, THE ATMOSPHERE, THE BUZZ FROM THE SUNDAY MARKET, THE FAMILIES, THE LABOURERS.. THEY ALL DISSAPEAR AND THATS WHEN IT GOES MAD. AT NIGHT THEY CAN'T TELL US ANYTHING, WE DO WHAT WE WANT"

okay so clearly the waiter I spoke to was young, he was a nice guy but it was obvious that he wasn't a strictly tradtitional bangladeshy citizen unlike the restaurant's owner who was a little older.
the younger one went on to tell me about the best places to go at night, but not on my own because- as he kept stating- "at night it gets crazy"..
