POPUP>>>>>>>
WE ended the first rough guide project, which I wasn't too upset about because it was a nice starter but I was really eager to get straight to the main. I wanted a project with more substance and this is what we have been working on for almost two weeks now. It's called POP UP. It started out as a collection of objects that related to us/reflected something we wanted to show. We were told we would be working with these objects in a 2D format over the next two weeks and then taking what we had gathered into our forth-coming workshops within weave, stictch, knit and print. EXCITING. We were shown around the Chelsea Space exhibition which currently is showcasing work called 'Ideal Home'. The curator told us that he had gathered pieces of art work, textiles and sculpture that reminded him of his childhood and teen years- they all had revlevance to him and reflected well with each other and I loved that idea. The link to chelsea space is at the bottom of my blog.
